The Clock
Tower is located in Rome, Ga. and is built over a water tank, that at one
time served as the drinking water for Rome. |

Stone Baptist Church
This church
was built by stone gathered in and around the area of Gordon County, hauled
by wagon and mules. The people attending this church helped in the building
of it. |

The
Cherokees were crowded out of their old seat of government near Knoxville,
Tn., by advancing white men. At the junction of the Coosawatee and Conasauga
Rivers, at what was called Fork Ferry, New Echota (Indian for Town), was
established in 1819 as the last capital before removal to the west. |

The Barn
The barn is
just a structure of wood that you will see in every rural setting, in every
state. This particular barn is the most common built throughout the
Southeast. If you look close enough on the print on paper, you can see the
nail heads that I drew into the picture. |

Courthouse
The
courthouse was erected in 1889, with the clay for the bricks being taken
from the Oostanaula River bottoms, costing $4.00 a thousand. |

Hotel Rooker
This was a
hotel that was built during 1935, within Calhoun, Ga., now the home of the
Arts Guild. It is rumored that Margaret Mitchell, author of "Gone With the
Wind", visited this hotel on a book signing tour. |

Highlands, NC, it is that quaint little church built out of wood, with a
bell steeple, and the front door being the color of red, that you find
within the mountains of North Carolina. |

Covered Bridge
The Euharlee
Covered Bridge is one of the last covered bridges still remaining within the
state of Georgia. It is very reminiscent of those structures that were built
by old time craftsmen who cared deeply about their craft. |

Located in
the mountains of Highlands, North Carolina, it is a hotel that gives that
cozy at home feeling atmosphere everytime that you stay as their guest. |

Just a brick
building that was built in the early 1900's. Again reminiscent of those days
that have gone by, "The Good Ole Days". |
